Ten sports activities will be part of the ‘Summer 2023 Campaign’ organized by the Instituto Ceutí de Deportes in collaboration with federations and associations of the Autonomous City. The activities were presented by Araceli García, managing director of the ICD.
In total, a total of 1,400 places will be offered and registrations can be made from this Monday either in person (by appointment) or online. Prices range from 12.75 to 55.80 euros for adult riding.
The courses offered will be Badminton, Fencing (foil modality), Have fun Diving, Horse riding, Water polo, Swimming, Canoeing, Tennis-touchtennis-Paddle tennis, Sailing and Summer of Adventures (the novelty in this edition). The ‘Basketball Camp’, and the modalities of Handball, Volleyball and Beach Rugby will also be held this summer.
The first activities will begin in the last week of June until the first of September.
Badminton, as announced by Araceli García, will be held at the ‘Díaz-Flor’ for athletes born between 2004-1957.
Fencing will be in the Foil modality at the ‘Guillermo Molina’. It is for those born in 2013 and earlier. 25 seats.
At the Bubbles Diving Center and the ‘Guillermo Molina’ will host Diviertete Buceando. It is a “highly demanded activity and that in this edition we have increased the places,” said Araceli García.
The Horsemanship will be divided into Rope Pony, Loose Pony and Boy-Girl Horse.
Water polo will be held at the Mackerel Swimming Club for those born between 2013-15. There will be 30 places for each course.
The ‘Guillermo Molina’ will host the Swimming modality from July 3 to 28 of the same month divided into four courses. There will be for children and adults as well as Therapeutic Swimming.
Canoeing will take place in the Aquatic Center of the Marina, therefore the activity will take place in the sea.
The Tennis-Touctnis-Pádel will be held on the slopes of the Párque del Mediterráneo. One hour will be given to each activity in addition to ending with water activities.
Sailing courses will be held on the Ribera beach. 10 places will be for initiation, and 10 for Optimist and 5 for Laser. But in these last two they are closed registrations for students who are designated by those responsible for the school.
The ‘Summer of Adventure’ will be the novelty. It will have the climbing wall as the center of activity. It will host, among others, climbing or hiking.
A range of activities will be offered by the Instituto Ceutí de Deportes for this summer, without forgetting the ‘Carrera de San Juan’ on June 23.
