Paris FC announces the departure of Thierry Laurey and the arrival of Stéphane Gilli

After ending its 2022-2023 season with a victory by the narrowest of margins against FC Annecy (1-0), Paris FC, which finished this Ligue 2 championship in 7th place, will have a new coach for the next exercise. Indeed, the Ile-de-France club has announced the departure of its tactician Thierry Laurey to be replaced by Stéphane Gilli, who is therefore returning to the PFC bench as head coach, after his two years as assistant to Mehmed Bazdarevic between 2018 and 2020, followed by experience in selection football in Morocco (assistant to Vahid Halilhodzic among the A’s then to Houcine Ammouta among the locals).

The 59-year-old technician will be replaced this summer by Stéphane Gilli, new coach of the capital club’s men’s first team. (…) After leaving his post as deputy in Morocco, Stéphane Gilli focused on his coaching qualifications. A few weeks ago, the Héraultais obtained his BEPF, the Professional Football Coaching Certificate, allowing him to lead a first team in a professional football club.
