MLB: Tigers pitcher flirts with no-hitter and no-run debut

Like taken from a movie Reese Olson debuted this Friday night at the Major League Baseball (MLB), signing during its opening with Detroit Tigers a little gem of pitching that made it to the sixth inning.

The fact that this year he was listed as the No. 11 prospect in the minor leagues according to MLB Pipelineheld the no-hitter, no-run game until collapsing in the sixth inning and was removed.

“I was a small part of the strategy,” catcher Eric Haase said after the game. “It all comes down to him executing. He was in the area all day, in, out, up, down. That was really all you could ask for.”

“Definitely a day I will never forget,” Olson declared. “It’s great to have my family and a group of friends here to experience it with me. As far as my outing, I think I did pretty well, just maybe got a little tired in the sixth inning, I didn’t throw two two-strike pitches. Other than that, everything was working for me.”
