Medal fix! – Judo Austria

In the quarter-finals, 29-year-old Amina Belkadi (ALG) from Vienna lost by ippon after taking the lead with Waza-ari. Lubjana Piovesana reached the semifinals by beating Mavluda Odinaeva (TJK) and Iva Oberan (CRO). In the fight against Sarai Padilla Guerrero (SPA), the Austro-Brit received three Shidos and was disqualified (Hansoku-make).

Lukas Reiter (-73/JC Wimpassing Sparkasse/Lower Austria) had to beat the top seeded Shakhram Ahadov (UZB), second at the Masters in Jerusalem, No. 13 in the world rankings, with Ippon (after 1:53 min . fight time) beaten. Eliminated early on the first day: Katharina Tanzer (-48/SU Noricum Leibnitz/ST/7) and Junior Marcus Auer (-60/Creativ Graz/ST).
