It’s already over between Igor Tudor and Olympique de Marseille. For the past few days, the rumors around the departure of the Marseille coach have only swelled, they are now confirmed.
According to information revealed this Thursday morning by the team, the Croatian technician announced his departure to the Marseille players before training.
Igor Tudor will therefore only have spent one season in the Bouches-du-Rhône. While there is only one day left in Ligue 1 this Saturday, Marseille, which will face Ajaccio this Saturday (9 p.m.), will therefore finish in third place in the standings.
“We accepted and respected the wish of our coach Igor Tudor not to continue the adventure next season,” OM president Pablo Longoria said at a press conference on Thursday.
Third in Ligue 1 before the last day of the 2022-2023 season this weekend, Olympique de Marseille will have to find a new coach to aim for the group stage of the Champions League.
