Karl Gélinas comes out of retirement to help Canada

Retirement was short-lived for Karl Gélinas.

The former Capitales de Québec pitcher will return to action, this time in a Canada uniform. The Quebecer will join the maple leaf in the coming weeks to participate in the qualifying tournament for the Pan American Games.

The baseball analyst made the announcement during his visit to the La Dose podcast hosted by Jean-Philippe Bertrand.

Gélinas’ last presence on the mound dates back to the 2021 season, when he helped out Team Quebec in the Frontier League.

During the podcast, the gunner reflects on his journey in minor baseball in the United States, he who was a 47th round choice of the Angels in 2002.
