The Denver Nuggets secure game three of the 2023 NBA Finals after defeating the host Miami Heat 109-94. This result made the score 2-1 in favor of Nikola Jokic et al.
Playing at the Kaseya Center, Thursday (8/6), the Heat started the match well. They led 9-4, but the Nuggets took a 16-14 lead with five minutes remaining. Both teams finally closed the first quarter with the score tied 24-24.
In the second quarter, the Nuggets started to fight back with 3-pointers. Jamal Murray succeeded three times from that situation, while Bruce Brown once. The Heat also actually succeeded three times, but the difference was in the accuracy of the shots inside the arc.
The Nuggets scored 17 points from deep and also free throws, while the Heat only 15, so the Nuggets managed to stay away 53-48 at halftime. In the third quarter, the visitors increasingly violent.
They managed to score 29 points even though only once from a three-pointer. The Heat scored three three-pointers, but only 11 points came on two-pointers and free throws. The Nuggets advantage was getting further away to 82-68.
In the fourth quarter, the Nuggets were no longer being chased. Even though the Heat scored 26 points, the visitors were still able to score 27 points, locking in a 109-94 victory.

Jokic and Murray set a record in this fight. Jokic scored a triple double of 32 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists, while Murray scored a triple double of 34 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Christian Braun scored 15 points, while Aaron Gordon 11 points.
In the Miami camp, Jimmy Butler scored 28 points, followed by Bam Adebayo with 22 points. Caleb Martin scored 10 points, the rest did not penetrate double digits.
The fourth match will take place at the same place on Saturday (10/6) at 07.30 WIB. Can the Heat equalize the score, or even come to Denver with the situation getting left behind?
