Gong Hee-yong (Jeonbuk Bank), the representative of Jeonbuk women’s badminton, has risen to the top of the world.

Gong Hee-yong, who competed in pairs with Kim So-young (Incheon International Airport), held in Bangkok, Thailand on the 4th (Korean time) in the women’s doubles final of the ‘2023 Thailand Open Badminton Championships (Super 500)’, Thailand’s Benyapa Aimsad-Nun. He won the gold medal by defeating Takarn Imsad Joe (ranked 12th in the world) 2-0 (21-13 21-17).

With this victory, Gong Hee-yong won her second international championship this year, following the gold medal in women’s doubles at the Jeonyeong Open held in England last March.

Meanwhile, Gong Hee-yong is participating in the ‘2023 Singapore Open Badminton Championships (Super 750)’ held in Singapore from the 6th to the 11th.
