Usyk is currently considered one of the leading boxers in the world, regardless of weight class. For a long time now, there have been rumors in the public space about a potential superfight between Usyk and Tyson Fury. At the moment, there are versions in the foreign media that the two super heavyweight luminaries could meet in the ring at the end of this year.
The 36-year-old Ukrainian boxer has said that Fury would not be the most difficult opponent in the super heavyweight division. According to him, the more dangerous opponent is Deontay Wilder, with whom Fury has shared the ring three times, celebrating victory twice, but the first fight between the two stars ended in a draw.
Chisora, whom Usyk defeated on points in the second fight of his super heavyweight career, also believes that the Ukrainian boxer should avoid Wilder.
“He knows Deontay is going to put him down,” Chisora said, noting that Usyk’s potential next opponent, Daniel Dubois, won’t be an easy opponent for the Ukrainian boxer either.
36-year-old Usik has participated in 20 fights in the professional boxing ring and won all of them, ending 13 duels prematurely. Usyk was the absolute champion in the weight category up to 90.2 kilograms, but in September 2021 he took all four belts from Briton Anthony Joshua in super heavyweight. In August of last year, Joshua tried to get revenge, but was defeated once again.
