Eight European champions and another eight medals

On the third day, 17 women and eight men start in the age groups F1-F9 for women and M1 and M2 for men. The German athletes win 16 medals.

Sylvia Hackel wins both fights prematurely with Ippon against the French Sovet and thus secures her eighth European Championship title.

Renee Kirsten wins all three fights of the preliminary round with Ippon. In the final against the Georgian Tsotsiashvili he dominates the opponent with his grip fight. The Georgian receives two penalties. Right at the beginning of the Golden Score, Rene Kirsten wins the fight with Waza-ari for O-Soto-Gari on the left. “Particularly noteworthy was Rene’s tactical masterpiece in this very grip-dominated final fight,” reports team leader Torsten Heilmann.
