Closes first phase of badminton with 5 golds for Jalisco – El Occidental

A great harvest is what Jalisco achieved this Thursday in the discipline of badminton, by hanging five gold, four silver and four bronze medals, saying goodbye to the Sub15 and Sub17 categories within the CONADE Nationals, a competition held in the city of Oaxtepec , in the state of Morelos.

The entity managed to add four gold medals out of seven possible, by qualifying for seven finals in the categories U15 Women’s Doubles, U15 Mixed Doubles, U17 Women’s Singles, and U17 Men’s Doubles, as well as in the U15 Women’s Singles, U17 Mixed Doubles, and Male Sub17 Singles, being in the first four mentioned in which the title was achieved; as well as in the Sub17 team test.

The medalists with such an outstanding performance are Mayte Macías (U17), who won two gold medals and one silver; as well as Juan Pablo Montoya and Juan Torres, with two gold medals also in the same category, while in the smallest category, the standout was Emily Jiménez with a pair of golds and a silver also in this edition. Badminton will have a break this Friday to give way from next Saturday to the Sub19 category at the same venue, concluding activities on Monday, June 5.
