Brazilian tennis pro Thiago Seyboth Wild has appeared in court in Rio de Janeiro to answer allegations of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend. This was announced by his management. He traveled to Brazil for this purpose immediately after his participation in the French Open, it was said.

Seyboth Wild drew attention to himself in Paris when, as 172nd in the world rankings, he surprisingly knocked out the Russian co-favorite Daniil Medvedev from the tournament. The 23-year-old was then asked about the allegations at a press conference, but evaded them.

“I don’t think it’s a topic to discuss here, nor do I think it’s a question to ask anyone,” he said. Seyboth Wild’s ex-girlfriend Thayane Lima has accused him of physical and psychological abuse.
