PORTO SAN GIORGIO – The Carabinieri of Porto San Giorgio have successfully completed an operation to counter the crime of receiving stolen goods, referring a 37-year-old from Fermo to the competent authorities. Thanks to an articulated and meticulous investigative activity, supported by checks carried out at the “Compro Oro” points in Fermo, Porto San Giorgio and Civitanova Marche, some precious pounds stolen a few weeks ago from a resident have been identified and recovered.

Investigations revealed that the man had sold the gold coins on several occasions using his identity document.

The investigations made it possible to ascertain with certainty the responsibility of the man in the crime of continued receiving stolen goods. All the evidence collected was forwarded to the judicial authority.
