Two hundred judokas expected in Tourouvre-au-Perche for a major tournament

Like every year, the judo club of Tourouvre (Orne), chaired by Aurélie Michel, organizes a big tournament bringing together all the clubs of Orne judo.

The clubs help each other

On June 4, 2023, nearly 200 judo players who will compete in the René Zunino room in Tourouvre.

“We chose to do this on a Sunday so that the parents do not work and can come and see their child”, explains Celine Beaudoireclub secretary.

If a tournament of this magnitude can be held, “it’s also because all the Orne clubs help each other” by sending referees.

A sport that inculcates values

Something new this year, “we decided to have a friendly competition with adapted sport”.

Indeed, the judo-club offers courses for the public of the Corne d’Or and of Snowdropthis tournament will be an opportunity for them to compete.

The practice of judo allows them to develop “listening, attention and their ability to move”. This confrontation will take place at 11 am.

In this club, we try to instill values ​​in the 65 licensees.

Combat sports were no longer fashionable, but it develops real values ​​such as solidarity and respect.

Values ​​that children must respect inside and outside the dojo, “it’s a philosophy of life”. A dojo which has also been restored by volunteers.

Also, “we are developing a partnership with karate and taiso”. The taïso is a new activity which was born in Tourouvre, the courses take place on Friday evening.

It is ideal for starting a physical activity again.

Thanks to sponsorship, the club has been able to acquire equipment that it lends to other associations.

As a reminder, the judo club offers lessons all year round every Friday evening.

On June 23, 2023, the club is organizing its general meeting. He will give medals and at the same time will pass the grades of children’s belts.
