Two FederBadminton projects with funding from Sport and Health

ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Italian Badminton Federation, through the funding of Sport and Health, is carrying out two projects, “Vola con Noi 2.0” and “+ Badminton x Tutti” aimed at increasing the users of sport. The story of the more than 60 ASDs involved in the two different projects wants to start from the project dedicated to the fragile classes and the Over 52s. The first stage is in Calabra where the ASD Polisportiva Azzurra Paola carries out its teaching activity led by the technician Francesco Naccarato inside the prison of Paola, in the province of Cosenza, with 22 prisoners. “I approached the world of badminton following the Badminton Shuttle Time and Vola con Noi Orange courses when I was a professor of motor sciences between the provinces of Milan and Monza Brianza – said Naccarato – Subsequently I perfected the First Level as a SNaQ technician and I decided to open a sports reality where I teach tenure, in Paola”.
The city of Paola, like the province of Cosenza and Calabria in general, has a very close link with badminton. “Our ASD works on two floors: the first inside the school, where we carry out our promotion and where I am helped by the new coaches Francesco Argentino and Mariarita Lombardi, and then with the “+ Badminton x Tutti” project financed by Sport and Health within the prison of Paola. Promotion is vital for the livelihood of a company, while the project with prisoners stems from a personal experience that saw me involved in a PON project in the province of Cosenza and which I believe can have a significant social impact”.
