The UCO achieves a national bronze in adapted swimming

The University of Córdoba completed its participation in the 2023 Spanish University Championships this past weekend, completing its performance in the disciplines of swimming, adapted swimming and badminton, organized by the University of Valladolid.

In this sense, the most outstanding result came in adapted swimming, where Adam Aguilera, from the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing, achieved a brilliant bronze in the 100-meter backstroke. For their part, Helena Díaz and Mª Ángeles Sánchez, students from the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, and Celia Tarifa, from the Faculty of Education, also performed in swimming, who could not fight for the medals.

Finally, in the badminton modality, the UCO presented itself with the athletes Olimpia Mª García, a student from the Higher Polytechnic School, and Sergio Cardador, from the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing, who competed in individual male and female and mixed doubles, not being able to obtain any victory, given the very high level of the rivals.
