The doctor spoke about the importance of good nutritional education, especially in young athletes: “A good diet will never make us win, but a bad diet will ensure poor sports performance.” Elena Isla, with experience in the preparation of boys and girls for the national teams, wanted to emphasize the importance of sleep, hydration and recovery, complemented with good nutrition for the optimal performance of an athlete in a sports competition.

Finally, he explained to all those present, including representatives of the Alcalá Basketball Club and the Cervantes Athletics Club, what the role of the doctor is during a sports competition, focusing on the procedure and protocols that will be carried out in the Venues where this summer (July 15 to 23) the Women’s U19 World Cup will be held: Alcalá de Henares, Torrejón de Ardoz and Madrid.
