“It is a great satisfaction for us organizers” comments Sandro Di Salvatore, one of the managers and founders of Giugliobasket “to have started from a small tournament, back in 2008, when four teams
from Puglia, two from Abruzzo (Giulianova and Teramo), one from Tuscany and one from the Marches challenged each other on the quay of the port, and have now reached such importance in the national sports panorama as well as having contributed to making the name of Giulianova and our region known internationally ”.

The patronage of the numerous local partners is increasingly strong, which confirms the relevance of this basketball event at an international level, starting with the municipal administration, which since the first edition, back in 2008, has always supported the development and strengthening of these Tournaments of the Sea. In addition to the FIP, the Italian Basketball Federation, the other regional bodies, such as the Abruzzo Region, the Province of Teramo, CONI, the Porto Authority, the BIM, have reconfirmed, as every year, their support and patronage, recognizing the value and potential to the event that brings great movement to the city of Giulianova.
