Borussia Mönchengladbach has to compensate for the departure of top striker Marcus Thuram (25) and captain Lars Stindl (34). In the coming season, the foals will lose a whopping 21 Bundesliga goals. In addition, the future of Alassane Plea (29) is also uncertain. So there is a risk of a vacuum in the Gladbach offensive.
In order to counteract this, the Bundesliga club has now apparently targeted an attacker from the Czech Republic. As reported by ‘GladbachLIVE’, Borussia are interested in Tomas Cvancara from Sparta Prague. The national player (two international matches) is tied to the capital club until 2026. Cvancara is said to have agreed to an exit clause when he extended his contract in January.
A corresponding passage would of course come in handy for the Gladbachers in possible negotiations. In his home country, the 1.90 meter tall center forward has been extremely successful this season. The 22-year-old scored 15 goals and five assists in 30 competitive games for the designated Czech champions.
