Spencer Dinwiddie, excited about his future in Brooklyn

Brooklyn Nets player Spencer Dinwiddie was a guest on the podcast ‘Gil’s Arena’, produced and directed by former player Gilbert Arenas. In his appearance, the base assured that he was very excited about his new future in Brooklyn, where he already played for five seasons between 2016 and 2021.

“I’m super excited,” Dinwiddie said. «I have been with the Nets in six of my nine years as a professional, approximately. I have been there in different stages of the team. From when we were kind of up and coming youngsters to when we had those top guys, Kevin Durant and Kyrie. Now we have a more mature core, ready to win, who probably needs another player of that rank.”

Dinwiddie returned to the Nets last February as part of the trade that ended Kyrie Irving in Dallas. He has another year of contract ahead of him at a rate of 18.8 million dollars. If he doesn’t sign an extension with Brooklyn next season, he will become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2024.

The 30-year-old from Woodland Hills closed the 2022-23 season with global numbers of 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 6.5 assists in a total of 79 games, all of them as a component of the starting five.
