In the men’s doubles final that followed, Seo Seung-jae (Army Sports Corps) and Kang Min-hyeok (Samsung Life Insurance) won the Malaysian team 2-1 (21-15 22-24 21-19) and won the gold medal.
In the women’s doubles semifinal the previous day, Kim Hye-jung (Samsung Life Insurance) and Jung Na-eun (Hwasun-gun Office) lost to Pearly Tan and Tina Muralitaran, finishing the tournament in third place.
In the mixed doubles match between Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yoo-jeong (Incheon International Airport), Jo also knelt down to Dechapol Puavabaranukro and Sapsiri Taerattanacha Joe (Thailand) in the semifinal match.
