Salihamidzic and Kahn made the bet to separate from coach Julian Nagelsmann at the end of March, to replace him with Thomas Tuchel when approaching the decisive weeks of the end of the season.
“Brazzo” Salihamidzic arrived on July 1, 2017 as sporting director and joined the Bayern management board in the summer of 2020 in charge of the sporting aspect. In six seasons in his post, he won the Champions League at the end of the summer of 2020 in Lisbon against Paris SG.
Oliver Kahn took over the presidency of the Bayern management board on July 1, 2021. He did not make the trip to Cologne on Saturday, officially due to a state of flu.
