Ofner, who only made it into round two of a Grand Slam tournament for the second time in his career, could score important points for jumping into the top 100 in the world rankings if he defeated Korda, who was number 24.
The 22-year-old Korda had prevailed in round one against compatriot Mackenzie McDonald.
