The entity from the north of the country will receive for the first time the most important university sports fair in the country, distributing the activity of 28 sports disciplines in three educational institutions.
The activity in this 2023 will have as hosts the University of Sonora (Unison), the State University of Sonora (UES) and the Technological Institute of Sonora (Itson), in Hermosillo, Ciudad Obregón and Guaymas.
In this edition there will be activity in 28 summoned disciplines, of which 26 are in both branches, one in men’s with baseball, and one in women’s with softball.
Within the capital, Hermosillo, there will be chess, athletics, badminton, basketball, 3×3 basketball, sport climbing, fencing, esports (electronic sports), association football, aerobic gymnastics, handball, judo, weight lifting, university wrestling, rugby 7, women’s softball, taekwondo, tennis, archery, flag tochito and indoor volleyball.
In regards to the Autonomous University of the State of Mexicowill send a contingent of approximately 120 athletes, only waiting for confirmation of the athletes who classified in the athletics discipline to make the official announcement.
In Ciudad Obregón, the disciplines of baseball, college boxing, fence football, karate, and table tennis.
Finally, in the city of Guaymas, only the sports of triathlon and beach volleyball, both to be held in the community of San Carlos.
