Mascherano defined the official list for the Sub 20 World Cup with the presence of the “europibes” and a local call distributed

Alejandro Garnacho, Nico Paz and Facundo Buonanotte will not come because their clubs did not give them up. The tournament starts on May 20.

The wait is over. The Under 20 World Cup to be held in Argentina from May 20 to June 11 is coming up and the appointments of the different selected participants are being defined. In that sense, Javier Mascheranothe albiceleste coach, announced his 21 chosen this Wednesday, with the already known absences of Alejandro Garnacho y Nicholas Paz plus the confirmation that he will not finally be able to be Facundo Good night. Of the europibes there are six summoned. There will be six who are militants abroad, among them Maximo Perrone -the captain of the National Team that failed to qualify in the South American Cup and who currently plays for Manchester City-, matias soule (Juventus) and Luke Romero (Lazio). Those who complete are the defender Roman Vega (Barcelona) and the midfielders matthew tanlongo (Sporting de Portugal) and Valentin Carboni (Inter).

The other names belong to local football. The defenders Valentín Barco and Lautaro Di Lollo are the representatives of Boca, while the goalkeeper Lucas Lavagnino is the call of the Núñez team. Agustín Giay is the aforementioned from San Lorenzo, while Tomás Avilés is from Racing. There are no quoted from Independiente.

The case of Avilés is unique since he defended the Chile shirt in the South American. The trans-Andean team was also left out in the first round like Argentina (it later qualified as the organizing country after the change of venue). Now the boy from La Academia will play for the cast of Masche.

Argentina’s rivals in group A of the World Cup will be uzbekistan (on May 20 at 6:00 p.m.), Guatemala (on May 23 at 6:00 p.m.) and New Zealand (on May 26 at 6:00 p.m.). The first two will be at the Madre de Ciudades stadium in Santiago del Estero and the last one at the Bicentenario stadium in San Juan.

The task of diagramming this list was not easy for Mascherano, who had made a preselection with 37 surnames. In the last ten days he traveled to Europe to try to unblock the situations of Garnacho, Paz and Buonanotte since he wanted to count on them no matter what.

However, both Manchester United, Real Madrid and Brighton refused to cede them as they have no obligation to do so, since FIFA did not include this youth World Cup on its calendar.

Those of Garnacho and Paz were already clear since last week, although unsuccessful attempts were made to get the players themselves to speak with the coaches to express their desire to participate. On the other hand, for Buonanotte there were negotiations until this very Wednesday. Brighton manager, Robert De Zerbihad given the okey, but not the leadership of the English cub.
