Korea’s badminton team defeated Japan 3-0 with a set score of 3-0 in the 2023 World Mixed Team Championships (Sudirman Cup) preliminary group D match held in Suzhou, China today (17th) and advanced to the quarterfinals as first place in the group stage.
With this, the national team beat France, England and Japan in the same group and advanced to the quarterfinals with a 3-win undefeated 1st place.
The Sudirman Cup is played in mixed doubles, men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, and women’s doubles in the order of 5 matches, and the first player to win 3 matches wins. A match win was secured regardless of the men’s and women’s doubles results.
