The Code ll Sports Center dressed up for a party when receiving the third Mexican International Challenger of Badminton Jalisco 2023, contest that will take place from May 2 to 7 and in which the participation of native athletes from more than 37 countries is expected.
There will be 13 players representing Mexico, seven in the women’s branch and six in the men’s branch, of which five are from Jalisco: Romina Fregoso, Miriam Rodríguez, Jessica Bautista, Luis Montoya and Job Castillo.
The tournament was officially inaugurated this Tuesday with the men’s singles qualification round, but it will be this Wednesday when the home players make their presentation: Montoya, Bautista and Castillo are the first on the list.
The tricolor representation arrives inspired after having played the Pan American in Jamaica at the end of April, in which they obtained the pass to the quarterfinals, a mark that they will seek to improve in this Challenger that will award points to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games .
Reason for which the event will have the presence of the best exponents of the discipline, the commitments are agreed from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with free access to the public.
