Hockey, NHL, Florida Panthers advance to Stanley Cup finals against Carolina Hurricanes

The Florida Panthers are in the NHL playoffs for the first time in 27 years in the finals of the Stanley Cup. The Panthers clinched their fourth win against the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday evening (May 24, 2023, local time) with a 4: 3 in the fourth game of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals and made it perfect for the final.

Matthew Tkachuk scored with 4.9 seconds to go, making a return to the Stanley Cup Finals after a 27-year wait.

The Panthers had only reached the finals for the NHL title once before, in 1996, when they lost four to the Colorado Avalanche.

Golden Knights need one more win

This time they are likely to face the Vegas Golden Knights, who are leading 3-1 against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals and just need one more win.
