On the 12th, women’s judo gold medalist Ayumi Tanimoto gave a special lecture to students aiming to become pharmacists on “anti-doping” and the need for pharmacists with specialized knowledge to support athletes.

Mr. Tanimoto:
“Anti-doping problem. Just one incident of cheating can make people look at you like ‘Sports is dirty, isn’t it?'”

Ayumi Tanimoto (41), a gold medalist in women’s judo at the Athens and Beijing Olympics, talks to students about “anti-doping.” In April, she gave a special lecture at Meijo University Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, where she was appointed as a specially appointed professor.

Mr. Tanimoto explained that what is required of athletes today is not only high ability, but one of the important things is that they do not violate drugs.
