According to “Sport Bild” information, Liverpool FC has entered poker for midfield talent Manu Koné from Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach.
The English Premier League club with coach Jürgen Klopp (55) have already contacted Koné’s management and expressed interest, as reported by “Sport Bild”.
Gladbach talent Kone in demand! It’s Liverpool’s turn
The intentions of the Reds are “real and big”, according to the French.
A possible fee for the defensive midfielder should be between 40 and 45 million euros. Koné’s contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach runs until June 30, 2025.
However: Liverpool’s interest in Manu Koné is not new.
Tens of top clubs from all top European leagues have been interested in the 22-year-old for months.
Clubs such as Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea FC, Atlético Madrid, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig are said to have already scouted the Frenchman.
So Liverpool has a lot of (financial) competition if the “Reds” actually get into the transfer poker for Koné.
Gladbach has the booklet of the trade in the hands of the whole number.
Koné is said to have no release clause in his contract for the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, this has not been officially confirmed.
