Genk receives bad news from the infirmary

The title dream may have already been put away for good, but after a meager one in nine, KRC Genk wants to regroup against Club Brugge on Sunday. In the run-up to the move to Jan Breydel, Wouter Vrancken is still concerned about one doubtful case.

After he got a tap on the ankle against Union, Yira Sor still hasn’t fully recovered. The attacker already missed the practice session on Wednesday. On Thursday, just like Jay-Dee Geusens, he dropped out halfway through to continue training separately without a ball.

That was probably just the deal to avoid further damage. “From tomorrow I will train fully again, so I will also get fit for Sunday”, Sor said afterwards The Importance of Limburg. It remains to be seen whether Vrancken will actually be able to call on him.

SOR OF EL KHANNOUSS?

For the rest, everyone can already be deployed in the Cegeka Arena. Sor, who only kicked off for the third time last week, may have to settle for a place on the bench again regardless of his physical readiness. Bilal El Khannouss is likely to be preferred again.
