1st minute: kick-off! Let’s go to the last Bundesliga conference of the season.

Update from May 27, 3:28 p.m.: The voltage increases. The players of all 18 Bundesliga teams are standing by in the players’ tunnel, waiting for the action to finally start. On the last day of the game, FC Bayern and Dortmund are fighting for the championship, but there are also close decisions to be made in the fight for Europe and relegation.

Update from May 27, 3:20 p.m.: A stray swarm of bees in Dortmund made the Sky broadcast more difficult before the big championship final of the Bundesliga. Dietmar Hamann, Erik Meijer and moderator Michael Leopold were all buzzed around about 45 minutes before the start of the game and even had to interrupt their panel of experts. A camera was no longer usable.

Most of the swarm settled on a TV spotlight, which two courageous firefighters finally carried from the interior. It didn’t get any better at first. The visit was perfect: BVB’s mascot is the bee “Emma”.

Update from May 27, 3:05 p.m.: Before the BVB game against Mainz there was a power failure in Dortmund. Ironically, the power went out at the “Signal-Iduna-Park” stop. The fans were diverted via the main train station. The arrival of the stadium visitors was delayed accordingly.

Master thriller between BVB and FC Bayern: Lineups are there

Update from May 27, 2:55 p.m.: At FC Bayern, Goretzka and Musiala are only on the bench, Gravenberch and Sané play for them, and Thomas Müller is also in the starting XI.

Sommer – Pavard, Upamecano, de Ligt, Mazraoui – Kimmich, Gravenberch – Coman, Müller, Sané – Gnabry
Kobel – Wolf, Süle, Hummels, Ryerson – Brandt, Can, Guerreiro – Malen, Haller, Adeyemi

Update from May 27, 2:45 p.m.: BVB have to do without midfield ace Jude Bellingham in the starting XI against Mainz today, but the 19-year-old is back in the squad after his knee problems.

preliminary report: Munich – On Saturday afternoon (kick-off at 3.30 p.m.) the last and 34th match day of the Bundesliga is on the agenda. The championship is more exciting than it has been for a long time. Borussia Dortmund goes into the long-distance duel with FC Bayern Munich with a two-point lead. And in the fight for Europe and against relegation, decisions could literally be made at the last minute.

Klopp interferes in the title fight between BVB and FC Bayern

BVB is very close to the big goal of becoming German champion for the first time since 2012. Should Borussia win the home game against Mainz at Signal Iduna Park, the cup is safe. In the event of a blunder, FC Bayern could still overtake them with a win in Cologne.

Thomas Müller made himself unpopular with a nasty trick before the championship final and builds maximum pressure on BVB. He read the whole city, “I think 200,000 to 400,000 fans would be expected at a championship celebration. I’ll put it this way: To meet the expectations of so many people, you first have to manage that with a broad cross on the pitch. If the whole of Dortmunder Süd wants to win, you have to stand up to it as a player.” Even an ex-BVB coach Jürgen Klopp interferes in the title fight and is “a bit nervous”.

Bundesliga conference in the live ticker: Will BVB become German champions, who will be relegated?

Mainz could tip the scales in the championship race. The Rheinhessen defeated Bayern a few weeks ago. Can you do it this time against BVB? However, the FSV has to play away in Dortmund. Ex-Mainz coach Thomas Tuchel hopes for help.

But the fight for Europe also promises pure excitement. Union Berlin (against Bremen) and Freiburg (in Frankfurt) are level on points and are fighting for last place in the Champions League. Leverkusen (in Bochum) and Wolfsburg (against relegated Hertha) are battling for sixth place, the Werkself have a better starting position with a one-point lead. Eintracht Frankfurt only has outsider chances with a three-point deficit.

Relegation thriller: Four teams fight for relegation

In the relegation battle, a heart-stopping final awaits the fans. Augsburg (34 points) in 14th place has the best chance of staying up, followed by Stuttgart (32), Bochum (32) and Schalke (31). Hertha BSC was relegated at the last minute last week. In our conference ticker on Saturday, from 3.30 p.m., you won’t miss any highlights from the last Bundesliga matchday. (ck)
