Concluded the guided tour of the Castle/Sanctuary of Casaluce, with the Pro Loco of Casaluce “Casaluci” APS, promoter of a cultural exchange between the Parish of San Giorgio Martire of Trentola Ducenta and the Parish of Santa Maria ad Nives of Casaluce.
Casaluce (CE), 13 May 2023. The children of the catechism class of the S. Giorgio Martire Parish, accompanied by the parish priest Don Giuseppe Marino, by catechists and their parents, were welcomed in the Church of Santa Maria ad Nives for a guided tour by the parish priest Don Michele Verolla, who explained the history of the Castle/Sanctuary and the numerous Giottesque frescoes present therein, as well as the Sacred Icon of Maria Santissima di Casaluce and the sacred Idrie kept in the Church.
After a moment of prayer with the recitation of the rosary and fraternal conviviality, the parish priest Don Giuseppe Marino, in addition to greetings and thanks, commented: “sometimes we realize that we have wonders on our doorstep and we don’t know it”.
The President of the Pro Loco Antonio Macchione, regretting not having been able to respect all the stages foreseen in the event, due to adverse weather conditions, thanked all those present and in particular the parish priest Don Michele and the POLIENI Cultural Association for the precious availability.
He was not discouraged by the rain and even if he managed as best he could under the arcades of the Norman Castle, the instructor of the Historic Archers Group of the Norman Castle of Casaluce, Antonio Martino, explained and let everyone try archery with the Historic the children, who had a great time. The adults were no less, who too took advantage of the arch and tried to hit the target.
In short, a religious and cultural day, which despite the unfavorable weather conditions, was considered exciting and fun by everyone.
