Three games were scheduled for Pentecost Sunday in the 1st Baseball Bundesliga. In the north, the series from Saturday evening were continued. And in both cases there was the same winner.

The Bonn Capitals secured first place in the table with a 15:3 win over the Berlin Flamingos. Already on Saturday they had clearly won 22:2. They took a 4-0 lead early on on Sunday and increased the result with eleven runs in the last two periods. Daniel Lamb-Hunt and Phildrick Llewellyn each hit two home runs. Lamb-Hunt had eight RBIs.

Meanwhile, the Untouchables Paderborn had to lose their feathers again. They lost 4:5 against the Dohren Wild Farmers in front of their home crowd. Lower Saxony had already surprised the U’s with a 7-3 away win on Saturday evening. Now the Wild Farmers managed the coup again. Again they scored early and then defended the lead. Paderborn slipped to third place in the table, while Dohren now has a balanced record of 9-9.

In the south, the Heidenheim Heideköpfe prevailed 5:3 at the Munich-Haar Disciples. Heidenheim lost a 3-0 lead but still won in the tenth inning with a two-run single from Gary Owens. The Disciples equalized to make it 3:3 in the sixth period, but missed the surprise. Both teams finish the day of the game on Whit Monday in Heidenheim from 1 p.m.

Next weekend there will be a Bavarian derby between the Guggenberger Legionnaires and the Munich-Haar Disciples, the Stuttgart Reds will welcome newly promoted Hünstetten Storm, the Mannheim Tornados will play against the Mainz Athletics, the Untouchables Paderborn have the Cologne Cardinals as guests and the Berlin Flamingos are traveling to the Hamburg Stealers.
