Casper Ruud easily crosses the first round of Roland-Garros

It wasn’t a stellar match, but it was good enough and Casper Ruud didn’t have to do too many brain knots to get out of the first round. On the Suzanne-Lenglen, the outgoing finalist of Roland-Garros, world number 4, disposed in three sets (6-4, 6-3, 6-2) of the 155th, the Swede Elias Ymer, out of the qualifications.

Ruud, in search of confidence on clay after mixed results since the start of the season on the surface – he was notably eliminated in the first round at the Masters 1000 in Madrid -, dominated as soon as he accelerated and numbness seen here and there, unless it is something else and therefore a deeper evil, is mostly anecdotal.
