Butler had promised Gauff that Miami would go to the final … before the start of the play-offs

LE SCAN SPORT – American tennis star Coco Gauff has revealed that Jimmy Butler invited him to watch the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals before the playoffs even started.

Great athletes often have overwhelming self-confidence, and Jimmy Butler is proof of that. Tenniswoman Coco Gauff revealed, in the middle of Roland-Garros, a conversation she had with the star basketball player of the Miami Heat. The American, fan of the Florida team, had been invited by Butler to a game at the end of the regular season.

«Two weeks later, he messaged me asking if I wanted playoff spots, shared Gauff at a press conference, one step away from the clay courts of Roland-Garros. I told him that I wouldn’t be there, that I would be in Rome and then in France. He said to me: “Okay, when we are in the final, tell me if your family wants places.”Surprising, because the discussion took place even before the start of the play-offs where no one was betting a coin on Miami.

The Heat had to go through the play-in (a kind of dam) to snatch their place in the play-offs. Butler and his team then crushed the big favorite, Milwaukee (4-1), then the New York Knicks (4-2) and finally the Boston Celtics (4-3) to reach the final, beating the odds each time.

Miami will start the NBA Finals on the floor of the Denver Nuggets Thursday night (2:30 a.m.). There will be at least matches 3 and 4 in Miami, June 8 and 10… the same day as the women’s final at Roland-Garros, where Coco Gauff failed last year, beaten by Iga Swiatek (6 -1, 6-3).
