It is precisely in this new sport climbing discipline that Helena Rico Galeano from our town, at just 13 years old, achieved the bronze medal in the under 16 category.
They completed the podium in discipline, at Club Andino, where the lectures were set up, Nehuén Von Rola Reyes, from Chosmal, who won the silver medal, while his brother Yagu obtained the bronze.
Helena represented our province, coming from the Embajador de los Andes club of her climbing school, and according to what her instructor Facundo Nonini told RSM, the climbing modality was short routes of high technical difficulty where the arrival at an intermediate shot or final.
In addition, Neuquén obtained medals in tennis, taekwondo, wrestling, climbing, badminton and archery, finishing off the last day of competition, a day in which the provincial delegation obtained seven gold, six silver and four bronze medals. Throughout the three days of competition Neuquén obtained 43 medals: 14 gold, 15 silver and 14 bronze.
