11 days of sport and music, over 1,500 sportsmen, over 30 artists, 150 volunteers. These are the numbers of the tenth anniversary of “AteneiKa – Sport, Music & You” scheduled from 1 to 11 June 2023 at the CUS Cagliari – Cittadella Sportiva “Sa Duchessa” – in via Is Mirrionis 3 in Cagliari. The demonstration was presented this morning in the Sala Consiglio in the Rectorate.
The festival. The line-up of artists who will take to the AteneiKa stages is rich: One Hour Party (June 1st); Speranza, Praci, Enonomey (June 2); Music is My Boyfriend, Luv!, Immanuel Casto and Romina Falconi (June 3); Meg, Bluem (June 4); Peter White, Geneva (June 5); Nesli, Cmqmartina (June 6); The Welfare State, Samia (June 7); Big Mama, La Niña, Queen of Saba (June 8); La Sad, 43.Nove (June 9); Champions League and the Radiolina 90/2000 party (June 10). A special guest will take the stage on June 11: the name will be announced in the coming days on the festival’s social networks. In the CFadda stage, new for this edition, space for young Sardinian musical talents: The Shot (June 2), Giulia Leone (June 4), Marta Money (June 5), Taid (June 6).
University games. There will be over 1,500 male and female students, staff and teachers of the Cagliari university who will take to the field to defend the colors of the six faculties: Biology and Pharmacy; Engineering and Architecture; Medicine and Surgery; Science; Economic Juridical Political Sciences; Humanities Studies. All on the pitch to challenge each other in the 14 sports of this edition Athletics, Badminton, 3 vs 3 Basketball, Futsal, Table Football, Tennis Football, Dodgeball, E-sport – FIFA 23, Chess, Fencing, Tennis, Table Tennis, Touchtennis, Volleyball . The hunt for the medal collection won in the last edition by the Faculty of Economic Juridical Political Sciences is open.

In his speech, the vice-rector underlined the synergy between the Cagliari university and the University Sports Centre.

AteneiKa is the symbol of how culture, well-being and sporting activity can be combined with the principles and ideals of sport such as healthy competition, loyalty, solidarity – underlined the president of CUS Cagliari, Marco Meloni -. It is important to enhance the model of collaboration between CUS and the University. Thanks to this partnership, we have tried to reorganize our spaces to allow the combination of sport and study, envisaging new areas for the future to be used both for sports and for recreational activities related to art, culture and creativity.

Alessio Correnti presented the most important innovations of this year: two spaces dedicated respectively to emerging Sardinian artists and one dedicated to the six faculties of the University of Cagliari, where students can meet and increase their network of acquaintances.
