All ready for the National Sports Day in Montignoso –

The National Sports Day, a national initiative established by the government on 17 November 2003, to be celebrated every first Sunday of June, falls for the 2023 edition on Sunday 4 June and, in the province of Massa Carrara, will have the municipality of Montignoso as its location. The festival, which has the intention of promoting all sports disciplines, is managed, for the Apuan territory by the Coni Point of Massa Carrara, led by the provincial manager Vittorio Cucurniawho wanted to underline the fruitful collaboration of Coni with the mayor of Montignoso Gianni Lorenzetti and with the manager of the Sport and Tourism sector Nadia Belle in the organization of the event. Indeed, the protocol of the National Sports Day provides for the coordination carried out by the local CONI in close synergy with the municipalities hosting the event and with all the participating sports associations and bodies. There will be workstations spread across various locations in the municipality of Montignoso, from the mountain, to the castle, to the sea. Thanks to the precious collaboration with the provincial AICS, various sports disciplines will be present in order to involve the whole territory. “It will be an opportunity to spend a nice day of outdoor sports promotion and training – declared Vittorio Cucurnia – and, for the public, which we hope will be large, there will be the opportunity to get in touch with the many sports disciplines presented. In addition to various introductory sports activities for children, there will also be activities for adults, including yoga and Taijiquan and archery. During the event, the award ceremony of the UC Montignoso football club will be held for the deserved passage to the higher category”.
