a new one in the list of Ghana against Madagascar

The Ghana Football Federation (GFA) has published the list of 24 players selected by coach Chris Hughton to face Madagascar on June 18 in Antananarivo, as part of the fifth day of qualifying for CAN 2023.

Unsurprisingly, we find the various headliners, including Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, brothers André Ayew (Nottingham Forest) and Jordan Ayew (Crystal Palace), and Athletic Bilbao center forward Inaki Williams. The residents of Ligue 1, Gideon Mensah (Auxerre), Alexander Djiku (Strasbourg) and the Lensois Salis Abdul Samed are also part of the group which also includes the ghost of Clermont Foot, Alidu Seidu.

Six ghosts and a new kid

The center-forward of Holstein Kiel (German D2), Kwasi Okyere Wreidt is also returning to the Black Stars, as are defenders Nicholas Opoku (Amiens) and Patrick Kpozo (Sheriff Tiraspol), and midfielder ‘Anderlecht, Majeed Ashimeru. Newcomer Ernest Nuamah (FC Nordsjaelland), 19, is credited with his first call-up to the national team. A great recognition in view of his good season in the Danish Superliga (8 goals and 4 assists in 21 matches).

Before moving to the red lantern, already eliminated, the
Ghana sits at the top of group E with eight points on the clock, one unit ahead of his runner-up, the Central African Republicand three on the third, Angola.
