First, the “Frankfurter Rundschau” and the “Frankfurter Neue Presse” reported that the youth had died. According to the police report from Tuesday morning, the boy is still alive. The alleged perpetrator, a 16-year-old from France, had already been brought before a magistrate. He issued an arrest warrant.

After a game at the “Germany Cup”, there was a fight with several participants at the sports facility of SV Viktoria Preussen. “According to current information, there was a commotion at around 4:10 p.m., after the final whistle of a football game, which escalated into a fight between the players,” the police statement said. The teenager was apparently hit in the head area.

“The victim then fell to the ground and subsequently required resuscitation. The alerted rescue workers immediately took the young person to a nearby hospital,” the police said. Life-threatening brain injuries were then found in the hospital. “He is still being kept alive,” said senior prosecutor Nadja Niesen to “BildI”.
