It was carried out the standardization of the representative teams of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEMéx), who will be competing in the XXV edition of the National Universiade which will take place from May 29 to June in Hermosillo, Sonora.

The UAEMéx will participate in 16 sports disciplines, with a delegation of 114 university athletes, 16 coaches and staff from the physical culture and sports department who will seek glory in the most important university sports festival in the country.
The flag ceremony took place at the Adolfo López Mateos Gymnasium, where the athletes and coaches wore the colors of the green and gold uniforms that They represent the highest house of studies in the XXV edition.
The event was headed by Luis Antonio Zimbrón, director of University Sports at UAEMéx, in addition to the rector Dr. Carlos Eduardo Barrera Díaz and Dr. Marco Aurelio Cienfuegos, Academic Secretary of the UAEMéx. Also present were coaches, administrators, athletes, as well as sports authorities who witnessed the emotional event.
The 2022 Judo bronze medalist, Katia Castillo Bustos, was in charge of the oath of the athletes, and later the banner was delivered to the escort of athletes.
For this year, many athletes will live their first universiade, but they will be sheltered by experienced athletes, who will seek to finish in the first places, although it will be difficult to compete with the northern powers.
The 16 disciplines in which they will participate are: Sport Climbing, Athletics, Judo, Boxing, Weightlifting, Tochito Bandera, Triathlon, Aerobic Gymnastics, Beach Volleyball, Badminton, Fencing, Bardas Soccer, University Wrestling, Taekwondo, Table Tennis and Archery.
Notably in the last three years the university contingent has been decreasing; two years ago a delegation of 350 was sent, last year 217 and now only 114 athletes.
