Two fences collapse after the hailstorm registered in Tecámac – El Sol de México

At least 60 houses affected and two fences collapsed was the balance left by the fort hailstorm that fell in the municipality of Tecámac in the State of Mexico, this Monday afternoon.

It was around 5:00 p.m., there was a strong rain accompanied by hail in this municipality, which surprised the residents and motorists who were driving through the streets of this town.

After more than half an hour the storm calmed down, however, residents of the Fraccionamiento Real Granada reported the fall of a fence to one side of the area.

Civil Protection and Firefighters personnel arrived at the place who immediately cordoned off the area, while, in the same way, neighbors reported another fence fallen in the private Granada de Montecillos.

According to the first reports, the rain softened the earth, which caused approximately, six meters of fence of the subdivision will collapse towards the outsidewhile another part was tilted, so Civil Protection personnel propped it up to prevent it from falling.

Before the heavy hail some avenues, as well as the Mexico-Pachuca highway, they were impassableso motorists had to park to avoid an accident.

The most affected streets, where the water and hail reached around 60 centimeters in height, were Amenares and Mesones. Civil Protection personnel carry out the removal of silt from the flooded avenues.
