“The best golf in the world on Mexican lands”

Golf courses in Mexico are unique in the world due to the landscape that accompanies them, the warmth of the fans who accompany the golfers on the green and for the second consecutive time, the Mexico Open at Vidanta will house the best of the PGA Tour.

The president of the Mexican Golf Federation, Fernando Lemmen Meyerwas accompanied by Iván Chávez, executive vice president of Grupo Vidanta, Benjamín Salinas Sada, vice president of the board of directors of Grupo Salinas and John Norris, senior vice president of tournament business affairs of the PGA Tour to officially present the tournament that will take place from April 27 to 31.

“The Mexico Open is the most important tournament in our country. It is having the best golf in the world on Mexican lands” declared Lemmen Meyer with great pride, who since 2021 took the reins of Mexican golf.

At an event where they recognized Vanessa PerezSecretary of Tourism of Jalisco, Benjamin Sada took the opportunity to highlight Grupo Salinas’ support for sports, and golf in particular in Mexico.

“In addition to doing it because I love this sport and I’m a great fan, I love giving calls to kids who have never competed on the PGA Tour and telling them: ‘come and beat the best in the world,'” he declared at a press conference.

Likewise, John Norris emphasized how special this golf course, designed by Greg Norman, is and that this tournament “will be an incredible opportunity to show what Mexico is to the world, it is an area where we want to grow and continue building relationships ”.
