Presidential plane depreciated due to original failure that affected its price, says AMLO – El Sol de México

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador said this Friday that the presidential plane TP-01 “José María Morelos y Pavón” had an original fault, which caused its price to depreciate to 1,658 million pesos.

“Every day it depreciated and it also had an original manufacturing fault, which came out from the first appraisal and that lowered the price, and the damage also grew, but hey, the last appraisal that was made was 1,658 million ”, he reported in his morning press conference from Veracruz.

Accompanied by his security cabinet and by Governor Cuitláhuac García, from Morena, López Obrador explained that his government has already sold around 10 planes, but acknowledged that the sale of the latter, which was purchased during Felipe Calderón’s six-year term for the government of Enrique Peña Nieto, was the most difficult because it was built with “luxuries for little pharaohs with a complex.”

“We are happy because the ostentatious presidential plane has been sold. Calderón bought it, although he did not use it, he bought it from Mr. Peña Nieto”.
