PGA Tour: Camilo Villegas and Nicolás Echavarría will share a group for the first time

For the first time since he was on the PGA circuit, the golfer from Antioquia Nicolás Echavarría will share a group with Camilo Villegas in an official competition on the world’s top golf tour. The appointment of both will be at the Mexico Open, which will be held at the prestigious Vidanta resort, located in Puerto Vallarta.

“I like playing in Mexico, in addition to the great fields it has and its food, feeling the support of the Latinos and playing alongside Camilo Villegas will be something special. The conditions are perfect and I hope I can have a great week with this audience and the people who are accompanying me”, Nico assured after concluding his practice round on Tuesday.

For the two Colombian golfers, this week will be special, since the Latino fans will be in the majority and that support will make them feel at home, something that is not common in circuit competitions, whose calendar takes place mainly in the United States and the islands of the Caribbean.

Villegas and Echavarría will share a group in the first two rounds of the Mexican event and together with them in that area will also be the American Tony Finau, who knows what it is to win several times on the PGA Tour and appears as another of the attendees’ favourites.

The three golfers will start their round on Thursday at 1:23 pm (Col. time) for hole 1 and on Friday morning, at 8:18 am, for hole 1. tee from hole 10.

In addition to Finau, the most recent champion of the Augusta Masters and current champion of the tournament, Jon Rahm, appears among the best placed in the world ranking. The Mexican Pacific shore will have several important players of the circuit in this event, which delivers a total bag of 7.7 million dollars in prizes, of which 1.38 will go to the champion of the contest.
