The first round of the NBA playoffs is slowly coming to an end.

During the night, two teams advanced to the next round, the Phoenix Suns and the Denver Nuggets.

… and two can now go on vacation! Minnesota and the Clippers are out.

The Denver Nuggets around superstar Nikola Jokic defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 112:109 (48:47) and thus won the best-of-seven series 4:1 after victories.

The Serbian center scored five points in a row at 104:104 in the final minute, Jokic made the final score perfect on the free-throw line. With 28 points, 17 rebounds and 12 assists, the 28-year-old made his second triple-double in the playoffs. Jokic again one of the contenders for the Most Valuable Player award in the league, for the past two years the Serb has won the MVP award.

This puts the strongest team of the regular season in the west in Round 2. In the east, the big favorite Milwaukee Bucks has to catch up against the Miami Heat from a 1-3 deficit.

But for Denver it will now be much more difficult than against the Timberwolves.

Because the team from Colorada will meet the Phoenix Suns.

Phoenix Suns on, Clippers out

Kevin Durant’s new team also advanced that night with a 136-130 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Here, too, the series ended with 4:1.

The cornerstone was laid in the third quarter in particular – Phoenix scored an unbelievable 50 points, Devin Booker alone made 24 (he had a total of 47 points).

Atlanta Hawks prevent the end

It’s thanks to Trae Young that Atlanta Hawks fans can continue to dream of progressing to the next round.

Two seconds before the end of the game, he decided the game against the Boston Celtics with a wide three-pointer to make it 119:117. He alone scored his team’s last 14 points – Atlanta reduced the series to 2:3.
