Mystery illness haunts Alex Rodriguez’s $1,600,000,000 NBA team as several players fall during Lakers rout

New York Yankees legend Alex Emmanuel Rodriguez, considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time, is part owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Timberwolves are currently ranked 9th in the Western Conference League standings. The team already faced many challenges to qualify for the playoffs, but now they have another problem to solve. A-Rod’s team is battling a mystery illness, as several players showed signs of similar health issues during their recent game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Timberwolves played the Lakers on Friday night. They ended up losing the game 111-123 as their players kept dropping due to poor health.

Mysterious illness haunts Minnesota Timberwolves

On Friday night, Anthony Edwards kept taking advantage of the few moments between games to lie down in the tunnel. He also visited the Timberwolves locker room several times, doing everything he could to muster the strength to face the Lakers. The situation was the same with Karl-Anthony Towns as he admitted to having slept in a tracksuit because he had a fever.

Small forward Taurean Prince is finally back with the team after missing two games due to illness. Undeclared illness has surrounded the team for weeks now.

Meanwhile, Wolves center Naz Reid is confirmed out for weeks with a broken wrist. The team performed well in the first half of the game against the Lakers. Their complete downfall in the second half can be attributed to the new onslaught of the mystery disease in the team.

No one wants to hear this, but it’s clear that this disease has ravaged wolves. Towns said it hit him hard.

Edwards was vomiting at halftime and lying in the tunnel when not in the game. Rivers wasn’t even there tonight.

Timing horrible.

Whatever the problems, the Timberwolves can’t afford to be in this situation with only four regular season games left.

What Chris Finch had to say about the state of his team

Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said they’ve been here before in this situation. With their loss to the Lakers, the team has an almost negligible margin for error. Finch said, “No one is going to feel sorry for us. We have to get up. We have four to play and we have to get back on the march. Although Mike Conley Jr was his team’s best player in their last game, he would also suffer from the same issues.

It’s still unclear if there’s a root cause behind so many team members falling ill around the same time. It could be due to exhaustion from playing regular games for a long season. But until we get an official update on that, it’s entirely speculative.
