Within the tournament that is played by direct elimination in the Club Dorados Oaxtepec Polyforum, the Morelense passed the first round bye, and already in the round of 16 he faced and beat José Carlos de Jalisco in two sets with partials of 21-8 and 21-10. With this victory he managed to advance to the quarterfinal round.
