Marathon takes an absurd turn for Nelleke after participant’s cardiac arrest: ‘I thought it was cramp at first’

She had a good preparation, a personal record was definitely in it. But the Rotterdam Marathon took an absurd turn last Sunday for runner Nelleke Baldé from Grijpskerke in Zeeland. A participant collapsed in cardiac arrest in front of her. Partly due to the adequate actions of Baldé, the runner’s life could be saved.
